The first debate between Biden and Trump was held on Sept. 29, 2020, and was marked by frequent interruptions and personal attacks. The two candidates also clashed sharply on policy, with Biden accusing Trump of mishandling the COVID-19 pandemic and Trump accusing Biden of being a socialist.
